There are 6 parts to do this setting:
Part 1: Get the value for A record and CNAME record

**Reminder: Make sure your domain has been purchased and is ready for setup. If you purchased a ".com" domain, you can continue to follow this tutorial.
If the Malaysian domain is like ".my, .com.my, .net.my" you need to setup your DNS records in your MYNIC account or you can contact your domain provider to make the changes.
1. You can log in to the Commerce dashboard
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Custom domain
4. Click on Add existing domain
5. Later you will be able to see a popup that has a value for your A record and your CNAME record.
Setting up CNAME in domain provider.
1: If the CNAME value is shops.shoppegram.com, enter that value in the CNAME record field in your domain provider.
2: If the CNAME value is @, enter your domain name in the CNAME field in your domain provider.
You need to save the Value for A record and the CNAME record for you to enter in your domain's DNS record in the domain provider's system later.
1. Log in to your Shinjiru account and click on Domains -> Manage DNS
2. In the Manage DNS page, click the DNS Record Sets button
One display will appear. Fill in the section:
DNS Record Set Name with your website name without www.
Turn on the toggle in the Default box.
Next, click on the Records tab.
In the Record Sets tab, you need to click on the Pen icon.
After that, you need to make configurations for A Record and CNAME Record in this section.
A Record configuration:
Type: A
Name: @
TTL: Default
RDATA: IP Address or A record or (Value at Section 1)
The configuration you provided is as follows:
Type: CNAME
Name: www
TTL: Default
CNAME: @ or your domain name or (Value at Section 1)
To set up DNS Zones, you can click on the DNS Zones tab and then click on the Add DNS Zone button.
In the DNS Zone Name, you can select the dropdown for your domain name. Enter your IP Address in the provided space and press the Confirm button.
Then, you can click on the Pen Icon to add A Record and CNAME Record in the DNS Zones and press the Confirm button.
For setting up an A Record, you can enter the following information: A Record:
Type: A
Name: Your domain name
TTL: Default
Address: A Record or IP Address or (Value on Section 1)
For setting up a CNAME Record, you can enter the following information: CNAME Record:
Type: CNAME
Name: Your domain name
TTL: Default
Address: Your domain name or (Value on Section 1)
Once you have completed the setup for DNS Zones and pressed the Confirm button, the display you will receive is as follows:
If in the DNS Manager section you do not appear as in step 6.
You need to Delete the DNS Zone that you have created just now. After deleting you need to Click Add New Zone and the screen as below will appear on your screen.
You need to follow the settings as in the display and in the Select Record Set section, you need to select your domain name.
The process for a domain ready to be placed on your website takes approximately 12 - 48 hours.
If after that period your domain is still not useable or included in the settings in Commerce you can make the settings in Part 3
This tutorial is for those who have problems with the use of DNS by domain providers.
Each domain purchased has a section called Nameserver for us to give access to platforms such as Cloudflare to manage our DNS.
Go to the following link https://dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up. Enter your email and password to register and click Create Account.
Enter your purchased domain name from your domain provider. Then, click Add Site.
In this section, you need to enter the domain name without www.
Next click on Free Plan and click Confirm Plan
Wait until the display like the picture below comes out.
If there are any DNS records that are different from the settings below, you can delete all of those records and refer back to the settings below.
If the value of the DNS record is the same as the display below, you can just ignore the settings below.
For the A record settings, you can select the A dropdown and enter the information in the corresponding fields:
Type: A
Name: @
IPv4 Address: A Record or (Value in Section 1)
Proxy Status: DNS Only (**Note: Make sure the cloud icon is gray)
TTL: Automatic / 1 Hour
After completing the settings, click the Save button.
For CNAME Record, select the CNAME dropdown and enter the information in the fields:
Type: CNAME
Name: www
Target: Your purchased domain name or (Value in Part 1)
Proxy Status: DNS Only (**Note: Make sure the cloud icon is gray)
TTL: Automatic / 1 hour
After completing, click the Save button.
When you have finished making the settings, the display you will receive is as follows:
Next in the Proxy Status column, there is an orange cloud (Proxied) icon.
Click on the icon to change it to gray (DNS Only) and click save. Do this for an A record and also a CNAME record.
Then click Continue
After clicking Continue, the display as below will appear. Click Continue by default.
Then there will be a nameserver from Cloudflare that you can use in your domain name provider.
Log in to your domain name provider's account and delete the nameserver on your domain provider. Replace with Nameserver Cloudflare that has been provided as shown below.
After you replace the nameservers click the Done button, check nameservers.
If you encounter any issues with changing your nameservers, you can contact your domain provider for assistance in making these changes.
For changing nameservers in Shinjiru, you can refer to Part 8: Changing Nameservers in Shinjiru.
To ensure that your DNS has been pointed to your Commerce, you can check your DNS here and make sure that the displayed DNS is your own IP number.

In the A record dropdown, you can enter your domain name without the www.
Referring to the image below, to check if your domain has propagated.
You can enter your domain name (including www if you have set up CNAME record in your Domain Provider) in the provided field.
You only need to wait for a period of 48 hours for the setting to be read and your domain can be used before you make a Custom domain setting in Shoppegram.
The shortest time your domain can be used is within 1 hour. If not, you need to wait for a period of 48 hours to 72 hours. You can check the status of your domain propagation through the link we provided (https://www.whatsmydns.net/)
Log in to the Commerce Dashboard -> Settings(1) and click Custom Domains(2).
On this Domains page, click on the Add existing domain button.
In the space below, you need to enter your domain name without www.
When you have successfully entered your domain, the display will change as below:
**Note: If there are no issues, the team will take 30-60 minutes to activate your domain.
If your Custom Domain is ready and can be used, an example display like the following will appear.
The words "Connected" and "SSL activated" will turn green. This condition will only occur if all the settings that have been made are correct.
To exchange Nameservers in Shinjiru, you can click on the Domains dropdown and then click on My Domains.
The next step is to make sure to select your domain (1) and click on Manage Nameservers (2).
Click on the "Advanced Settings" tab.
Choose "Use custom nameservers" from the list of options.
Enter the Cloudflare nameservers that you found in the "DNS" tab of your Cloudflare account in the appropriate fields. You will need to enter at least two nameservers.
Click on the "Save Changes" button to update the nameservers for your domain.
Once you have saved the changes, it may take up to 24-48 hours for the new nameservers to propagate across the internet.
During this time, your website may experience some downtime, so it's important to plan accordingly.
Once the propagation is complete, your domain will be using Cloudflare's nameservers and you will be able to manage your DNS settings through the Cloudflare dashboard.
