Chip

To use Chip please make sure you have created a Chip account first.

For the Chip account registration process, you need to make sure you already:

  • Have SSM.

  • A current Bank Account.

Account verification, charges and transaction money are fully managed by Chip.

Chip Settings

To integrate Chip payment gateway with Shoppegram, you need to get Brand ID, Secret key and set 2 types of Webhooks on your Chip account. If you have not yet registered a Chip account, you can use this link: https://onboarding.chip-in.asia/

Get Brand ID

  1. Log in to your Chip account.

  1. Click on the Developers button/text.

  1. Click on the Brands button/text

  1. Then, you can copy your Brand ID as shown below. You need to save this Brand ID for setting in Shoppegram Commerce later.

Get Secret Key

  1. From the Developers page, you can also click on the Keys button/text.

  1. Then, make sure the View/Viewing test data toggle is deactivated (grey).

  1. Next, you can click on the New live key button.

  1. Then, you will be asked to enter the Key title in the field that has been provided. This key title acts as a reference for you to know where this key is used later. For example we enter Shoppegram and after that click Create.

  1. Once you have created the key, you can click on the key again and you can click on the Copy button/text. You need to save this key to set it up in Shoppegram Commerce later.

Webhooks Settings

There are 2 types of webhooks that you need to enter in the webhooks setting of your Chip account, namely: 1. https://hartamas.myshoppegram.com/webhooks/payments/callback/checkouts/chip 2. https://hartamas.myshoppegram.com/webhooks/payments/callback/typ_offer/chip

You are required to replace the https://hartamas.myshoppegram.com with the URL https://subdomain.myshoppegram.com of your own website which has been given for free during the registration of your Shoppegram account.

You can find your subdomain URL in the following section: Dashboard Overview Shoppegram -> Settings -> Custom domain -> Subdomain

You can refer to examples of setting webhooks in the Chip account below:

  1. From that Developers page, you can click on the Webhooks button/text

  1. Then, make sure the View/Viewing test data toggle is deactivated (grey).

  1. Next, you can click on the New live webhook button

  1. Then, you can fill in all the information requested by referring below:

  • You will be asked to enter the Webhook title in the field provided. This webhook title acts as a reference for you to know what this webhook is used for later. For example, we enter Shoppegram Checkout.

  • For the Callback URL field, you can enter: https://hartamas.myshoppegram.com/webhooks/payments/callback/checkouts/chip

  • For the Event type column, you need to make sure that you only select/tick 2 event types, namely Purchase paid and Purchase failed only.

  1. Once done, you can click Create

  1. Later, you will be taken back to the Webhooks page and you can see the webhook setting you just made earlier. Next, you can repeat the steps above and enter the second URL webhooks.

Once finished, you should have 2 URL webhooks as shown below:

Settings in Shoppegram Commerce

1. Log in to your Shoppegram Commerce account.

2. Click on Settings

3. Click on Payment options

4. If you have not activated the payment option for Chip. Click the Activate button on the Alternative Payments section for Chip. If you have activated the payment option for Chip, click the Edit button.

5. Next, a display will appear as below, you can fill in the information:

  • Display name at checkout : Enter the name of the payment you want (Example Chip)

  • Secret key : Enter the Secret key that you have obtained in your Chip account.

  • Brand ID : Enter the Brand ID that you have obtained in your Chip account.

6. After finishing, make sure you have clicked Enable and click the Save button.

For information, the Test mode toggle is only used by Developers. For Shoppegram Commerce users, please make sure you deactivate the toggle.

After saving you can make a purchase attempt on your website to see the Chip payment option during checkout for the setting you just set a moment ago.
